My edible week: should we eat octopus?
There's a glut, but should we really eat a creature that knows how to play with Lego?
My inbox is awash with octopus. Press releases from restaurant PRs are urging me to try the latest grilled tentacle, octopus pan con tomate or cephalopod carpaccio. For a country that generally draws the line at fishy things unless they’re battered or crumbed, the UK’s current octopus fixation is, in a way, unexpected. But there’s a reason for it.
